2:31:38, New PB!
I reached start line with confidence and high motivation.
Fortunately, it was not so windy, not too cold.
There was a moment of silence for Kiptam who made world record last year and died by car accident this year.
Also, there was national anthem of U.S.A. before the start.
Ready, set, get, go!
I was quite calm even though excited crowds were cheering, shouting, playing music fanatically.
Just went with flow and ran with comfortable pace.
Reached half point in the blink of an eye.
The time passed 1:15+ already.
Still I had a power but decided to change A target( Sub2:30) to B target(Sub2:33).
Pace up seemed impossible, tried to keep same pace.
Many runners lost speed and paced down.
I was still OK, tried to follow energetic runner and passed some of them.
started straggling around 37km.
My running form broke down, here came the climax!
Cramping and drastic pace down were not acceptable for the target.
Chicago did not let my guard down until the finish.
Looked buck some unhappy full marathons which I was not able to make new PB for 7 years just after the finish.
Some foods and drinks were distributed to finishers.
I took everything except for the beer.
Yes, I was very happy and satisfied for the result but, still was greedy and ambitious for Sub2:30.
